Research Scientist, working on three classes of problems: numerical solutions of Maxwell's Equations, application of these solutions to the interpretation of electromagnetic measurements, and the design of new electromagnetic measurement methods and devices.
"I took a machine shop course where I learned to think like a mechanical engineer. Whenever I design some tool I always think about how it could be built. This course also taught me to appreciate and respect other engineering disciplines. I did not take any business or marketing classes though they would have been useful. Communications skills are extremely important; only in industry did I learn proper technical writing and public speaking skills."
