Program Director,
matching people and skills broadly across the organization to
solve problems that improve the speed and storage capacity of
disk drives. |

"We continually look
for problems. Most people try to avoid that, but that's really
where the opportunities are." |

Hoyt:
"A lot of my work is focused on identifying problems, trying to match
people and skills broadly across the organization to solve those problems.
So I draw very heavily on my technical background and then previous
activities in order to do that. I think the thing that makes the job most
exciting is the challenges and the real problems that come along with it.
We continually look for problems. Most people try to avoid that, but
that's really where the opportunities are."
Hoyt: "I'm
generally in the office about ten hours a day. Then typically in the
evening I will spend maybe a couple of hours trying to read the paperwork
or writing reports and things like that after the kids are in bed and
before I finally time out. Sometimes things do get very hectic and you do
have to do quite a bit of traveling. Particularly if you have to go
overseas for a one or two day meeting and back."
