According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, cardiovascular technologists and technicians hold about 45,000 jobs in the United States.

About 3 out of 4 jobs are in hospitals (public and private), primarily in cardiology departments.

The remaining jobs are mostly in offices of physicians, including cardiologists, or in medical and diagnostic laboratories, including diagnostic imaging centers.
