"The product(s) that we produce at Aircraft Engines (GE) in Madisonville, KY, are the turbine blade and vanes. And those are just two separate components that go into making the engine. I'm responsible for rearranging one of our cells, and what entails is looking at a lot of different processes and see how they operate now and then trying to arrange the machinery and obtain the right number of operators to run the machinery, to reduce our cycle time and also to produce a more quality -- a higher quality product without a lot of the waste time or a lot of the different waste operations that may be currently going on today. So it's a way of improving the process that we have today by better arranging the cell and better utilizing our resources."

"I like to dance, I like to read, and I also like to get involved in community activities. So there are times when I have a chance to maybe take my time at lunch and go into one of the high schools and volunteer or do some tutoring there. I try to incorporate that into my assignment here."
