"I come
into work and I hack away at the product. I use it like a normal
user would - anywhere from your mom and dad - to a bunch of college
students who want to go on spring break, or anything like at. And I
actually go into hotel wizard, and I will go in and I will search in a
city on different dates, for say three people for a room and I'll book a
room, and make sure that the booking goes through. And that your not
over charged, and that we are charging you the correct amount, and that
you do indeed get the reservation. And so, that's part of what my job
entails.
I also interact with the
developers and the program managers and make sure that the developers are
fixing the bugs that I tell them about, and that what the program managers
have written makes sense to the user. I am the first end user, as a
tester. And so, if something doesn't make sense, then I'm the one
who is going to see it first, and I'm going to go back and I'm going to
talk to the program managers and the developers, and be like 'hey I'm your
first user, and I'm confused. And I already know a lot about this product,
so we really need to look at that.' So that's another thing that I
do."
