Joanne Van Voorhis is Executive Director of the Sloan Career Cornerstone Center.  She has focused much of her efforts over the past twenty years in support of the Sloan Career Cornerstone Series -- a ten career path video and CD set developed in the 1990's which served to launch the full expanded web-based Sloan Career Cornerstone Center. The Sloan Career Cornerstone Center is a non-profit resource center for those exploring career paths in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computing and healthcare. Currently over 170 career paths are available on the site.

In addition to overseeing the Sloan Career Cornerstone Center, she also runs her own marketing communications business, Target Marketing which she established in 1985 to provide marketing and marketing communication services to clients in education, industry, and the science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computing community.

In addition to focusing on electronic resources to serve STEM education on a national and global level, Van Voorhis works closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators, providing technology training to enhance classroom instruction.
