Henry
W. Perrin, Ed. D.
(Ex-Officio Member)
Executive
Director
South
Shore Educational Collaborative
Henry Perrin was appointed the Executive Director of the
South Shore Educational Collaborative
of Hingham, MA, in July, 2009. In this role, he is responsible for
providing leadership and strategic planning for an organization that
delivers intensive and specialized services for students and adults
with a diverse range of cognitive, physical, emotional,
psychological and learning needs. Approximately 350 individuals are
served in educational and vocational programs. Students are referred
to the collaborative by 10 member school districts (Braintree,
Cohasset, Hingham, Hull, Marshfield, Norwell, Quincy, Randolph,
Scituate, Weymouth) and other towns throughout eastern
Massachusetts. The programs at the collaborative provide instruction
and therapies for students when it is not economically practical to
develop a program for a small number of students in their town. Many
of the students have complex needs that could not be met in any
other school in this geographical area. The educational and
therapeutic services are provided at three excellent self contained
facilities in Hingham and many individual classrooms integrated
within elementary and high schools in the South Shore area. Years of
employment in public and private schools as a teacher and
administrator have prepared Henry for this challenging leadership
role.
Henry has served on Parent Advisory Councils, Human Rights
Committees for Adults with Disabilities and is a Trustee for The Way
(youth ministry for troubled adolescents). He is a member of the
Administrators of Special Education and Massachusetts Organization
of Educational Collaboratives.
Dr. Perrin has attained Massachusetts certification as
Superintendent of Schools, Director of Pupil Personnel, School
Psychologist and Special Education Teacher. He received a B.S. and
M.Ed. from Bridgewater State College, C.A.G.S. from Boston State
College and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of
Massachusetts.
